IT integration Our pre-built applications integrate smoothly with your existing ecommerce systems for a fast implementation
eShopWorld’s functionality is surfaced via APIs (web services) and applications. Your developers can use the APIs to access all eShopWorld’s features, for example to calculate international shipping rates and taxes, arrange international deliveries, access shipment tracking information, and authorize returns.
eShopWorld also provides a number of pre-built applications including:
- International checkout; multicurrency and language support, payment gateway and fraud detection, delivery options;
- Customer Order Manager; order summary, shipment tracking, returns confirmation, customer service contact; and
- Retailer Service Console; report centre, order inquiry, returns notification, catalog management.
Our technology platforms
To use the web service API and eShopWorld applications your product catalog must first be HS-rated to create an international catalog.
Our web APIs use WSDL 2.0 defining a set of functions required to:
- Calculate international shipping and tax charges;
- Arrange order delivery;
- Manage returns; and
- Manage the product catalog.
Our current web services implementation is based on SOAP. We are also working on an implementation of the API using XML and JSON over HTTPS (HTTPS-POX / POJ), following RESTful principles.
To use the web service API (and eShopWorld applications) your product catalog must first be HS-rated to create an international catalog. This allows the API to determine the appropriate taxes for each product in you catalog. The HS code for each product is stored within the eShopWorld database.
Three basic steps for integration
There are three steps that you need to consider, which largely follow the order lifecycle.
- Catalog setup and maintenance.
- Purchase and order confirmation.
- Customer service and returns.
Using eShopWorld Applications will generally allow for faster implementation.
