A new report has revealed the top loved brands in the United Kingdom, with seven eCommerce retailers rounding out the top 10.
NetBase’s latest report, Brand Passion Report 2018: Top Loved United Kingdom Brands has identified six key British industries in social media mentions, ranking the most loved brands in Fashion, Technology, Beauty, Automotive, Luxury and Food and Beverage.
In the social analytic firm’s press release, Paige Leidig, chief marketing officer at NetBase said:
“Fashion companies continue to dominate as the most loved brands in the UK, but what fascinates us is the continued support for the heritage British luxury brands Burberry, Harrods and Ettinger, respectively coming in as the 4, 5 and 6 luxury brands with the term ‘love’ standing out.
“The brands are a good mix of young and mature companies and positive movement can be attributed to brands making strong connections with their customers and launching innovative social campaigns”

NetBase’s technology has measured the difference between ‘like’ and ‘love’ of particular brands and correlates strong a customer focus with more consumer passion for a brand.
The NetBase Brand Passion Report 2018 is an accumulation of 64 million earned mentions across social networks, review sites, blogs, forums and news sites worldwide.
Because trust is essential in-store and online, it is critical for companies to manage shoppers’ trust in cross-border transactions – these shoppers need additional reassurance that their items will arrive quickly and safely. If a shopper has a positive cross-border experience, they are more likely to shop again, and may even positively review a brand publicly.
